Client

Café du Cycliste, a French premium cycling brand, needed a flexible email design system to elevate their digital presence and support diverse marketing initiatives. The existing templates lacked distinctive brand identity and couldn't efficiently scale across different campaign types.

Design Audit & Brand Strategy

After reviewing brand guidelines and auditing existing email templates, I identified that the minimal, monotone approach borrowed from the website didn't leverage email's potential for brand storytelling and visual engagement.

Color Strategy Framework

To bring systematic functionality to the visual design, I developed a color-coding strategy for three email types: Broadcast, Transactional, and Automation and orange color dedicated for checkout process.. This strategic color application ensures users intuitively recognize email purpose while maintaining cohesive brand experience.

Modular System Architecture

I designed a flexible component library where individual modules could be combined for varying content complexity and campaign needs:

  • Hero blocks with multiple layout options

  • Product showcases (single, grid, carousel formats)

  • Editorial content modules

  • Call-to-action treatments

  • Image-text combinations with flexible hierarchy

Design Outcome

A bold, youthful email design system with sophisticated French flair—balancing visual impact with strategic functionality. The modular architecture empowers the marketing team with creative flexibility while ensuring every email reinforces Café du Cycliste's premium brand identity.
